Personnel Department

As a conscription case officer at the Boden Artillery Regiment, you belong to the Personnel Department, which is one of five departments at the regimental staff. It is the regimental staff's task to plan, lead, and follow up on the regiment's operations, as well as support the regimental command in decision-making. The Personnel Department consists of ten people, including one officer and nine civilians.

Main Responsibilities

You will primarily work with processing conscription cases in connection with basic military training. Your daily work involves collaboration with managers in the operations, other authorities such as the Swedish National Service and Inspection Authority, and other units within the Swedish Armed Forces. You will also work with processing disciplinary cases for conscripts (legal case officer) with the support of the Swedish Armed Forces' adjutant. You will work in our support systems PRIO, VIDAR, and ATLAS.

In your work, you will:

• Administer conscripts in connection with basic military training
• Ensure that the unit respects the rights and obligations of the conscripts
• Handle matters regarding requests for public documents and the Administrative Procedure Act
• Support managers in legal matters according to the Total Defense Service Liability Act and be an expert in total defense issues
• Conduct training for employees and conscripts within your area of expertise
• Work with gender equality, non-discrimination, and the Armed Forces' values for conscripts
• Carry out investigations regarding unwelcome behavior
• Conduct support conversations with conscripts as needed

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• University degree (social worker, behavioral/personnel scientist, legal scientist) or equivalent work experience
• Category B driver's license
• Good knowledge of the Office package
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the authority.

The position is civilian and will involve a war-time placement. To meet the Swedish Armed Forces' requirements for physical standards, physical training is included as part of your duties.

Internal training and travel occur in the position. Working hours are primarily daytime, but evening and weekend work may occur.

The Boden Artillery Regiment, A 8, is the Swedish Armed Forces' competence center for indirect fire. The regiment preserves and develops competencies, equipment, and methods for the future capability to detect and hit targets at long distances and with high precision. A 8 has functional responsibility for CAS (Close Air Support) - leading air support against ground targets, as well as for the weather service within the Army in the Swedish Armed Forces. Winter warfare is a special competence for the unit in Boden.
