Job Description

Do you want to be part of building something that can make a real difference to people's health, working environment, and quality of life?

Överkalix Municipality has been granted funding for the project Health Överkalix – Step by Step, a long-term initiative to strengthen employee health, reduce sickness absence, and create conditions for a sustainable working life. The project will run from 2026 to 2029 and covers all employees in the municipality.

We are now looking for a Project Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for leading, coordinating, and developing the project. As the Project Manager, you are responsible for the implementation, follow-up, and reporting of the project. You will be the connecting link between the various actors in the project and work closely with health guides, managers, employees, steering groups, trade unions, and external partners.

The role involves both strategic and operational work. You are expected to drive the project forward, ensure that goals are met, and create conditions for the project's results to continue after the project period ends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the implementation of the project.
  • Responsible for project planning, follow-up, and quality assurance.
  • Responsible for reporting, economy, and administration related to project funders.
  • Coordinate steering groups, reference groups, and external partners.
  • Plan and carry out internal and external communication efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term structures for health-promoting work within the municipality.
  • Follow up on project results and analyze effects.
  • Ensure that gender equality, accessibility, and equal treatment are integrated into the project's work.
  • Coordinate the dissemination of experiences regionally and nationally.

The responsibilities may develop during the course of the project.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Documented experience in leading development projects.
  • Experience in project follow-up, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
  • Good digital competence.
  • Valid driver's license (Category B).

The following are meritorious:

  • Relevant university education in fields such as social sciences, public health, project management, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Experience with projects funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) or other structural funds.
  • Experience in public sector operations.
  • Experience in collaboration work between different actors and operations.
  • Experience in strategic communication and communication planning.
  • Knowledge in occupational health and safety, public health, or competence supply.

Personal Qualities

  • Communicative and confident in representing the project both internally and externally.
  • Structured and has good ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up.
  • Easy to build trust and establish relationships.
  • Self-initiative and takes responsibility for driving the work forward.
  • Good teamwork skills and thrives in a coordinating role.
  • Good analytical ability and sees connections between individual, operational, and organizational levels.

Duration and Working Hours

The position is a project employment at 50% until 2029-06-30.
