Vattenfall Vattenkraft is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and approximately 300 dams in the Nordic region. Vattenfall Vattenkraft is now looking for a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) in Luleå, Umeå, or Solna!
You will join as the Information Security Officer in our security department, a staff function within the Nordic hydropower organization. We work broadly with issues related to security and preparedness, ranging from physical protection of critical infrastructure and security protection analysis, to the analysis of security incidents, information security, and total defense. Our mission is crucial to ensuring a safe and robust electricity supply throughout the Nordics.
As the Information Security Officer, you will play a central role in our work. You will, among other things, interpret and apply the Security Protection Act as well as regulations such as the NIS2 and CER directives, support the business in systematic information security work, not least in critical areas such as dam safety.
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to support development projects and contribute to ensuring that our routines and processes are current, effective, and well-rooted in the business operations.
In the role of BISO, you will have broad responsibility for information and cyber security. Your main tasks include, among other things:
- Guidance based on legislation and other requirements within the area of information and cyber security (IT/OT)
- Strategic development of our work within information and cyber security, including analysis, planning, implementation, and follow-up of goals
- Ensuring that information and cyber security are handled in a relevant, realistic, and compliant manner
- Identifying, interpreting, and following up on requirements, legislation, and security measures related to information and cyber security
- Promoting awareness, supporting communication, and training
- Advisory support and active follow-up of issues/incidents related to information and cyber security
- Coordination, follow-up, and evaluation of the organization's "second line activities" within information and cyber security
- Coordinating activities together with coordinators regarding IT and OT issues
- Contributing to Security Risk Assessment (SRA) within information and cyber security as well as the annual security and resilience plan
- Representing Vattenfall Vattenkraft at the business area and group level, for example in the Generation Information and Cyber Security Forum.
Requirements
We are looking for you who have extensive experience in information security and thrive in a role where you can combine analysis, collaboration, and development. You are confident in your competence and comfortable navigating complex environments where many perspectives meet.
We would like you to have:
- Post-secondary education in information security or equivalent practical experience in the field
- Several years of experience in information security, including developing and driving systematic security work and contributing to business development
- Good knowledge of the Security Protection Act is a requirement
- Experience working with analyses, investigations, and controls within the security area
- Experience handling security classified information
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and verbal
- Category B driver's license (travel is part of the role).
As a person, you are meticulous, collaborative, and have a genuine interest in creating structure and understanding in complex issues. You contribute to dialogue, build trust, and drive the work forward together with others at different organizational levels within the business.
