Region Värmland is facing major investments in the coming years – over one billion SEK annually. With projects such as a new bus depot and a new emergency hospital, we are building for the future. We now want to strengthen our team within Corporate Finance and Economics with you, who want to contribute to this important work.

Your workplace

You will become part of the Corporate Finance and Economics unit within Region Värmland's Planning and Economics Department, which is a department with approximately 100 employees.

The unit works with important and strategic issues such as finance, investments, follow-up through interim reports and annual accounts, as well as regional healthcare collaboration. We also contribute to steering in larger projects, development of economic processes, and analyses.

Our work has great significance for both the political organization and the operations in the region, and we help create the conditions for efficient management of both economy and operations.

We are a unit of nine people with close collaboration, where we help each other and learn from one another. Here, you will have your own responsibility in your role, while simultaneously being a clear part of the team. We often work together with other functions and contribute a holistic perspective to development work and joint processes.

Your responsibilities

Do you want to help develop how Region Värmland plans and executes its investments?

In this role, you will have a central position in further developing, coordinating, and following up on the region's investment process. You ensure that the process is cohesive, efficient, and appropriate – from planning and prioritization to follow-up, with clear working methods, a robust structure, and well-founded decision support.

In the role, you also work with financial issues such as cash management and debt management. You contribute to strengthening the region's economic management and creating good conditions for long-term sustainable economics.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for you with relevant academic education in economics or equivalent experience assessed by the employer as equivalent. You have a few years of experience, preferably from a larger and more complex organization.

You are accustomed to developing working methods and driving processes forward. It is an advantage if you have worked with investments in a larger, preferably politically governed, organization. Experience in cash management, debt management, and corporate governance is also a plus.

As a person, you are analytical and have a long-term, strategic perspective. You work in a structured and independent manner with strong drive. You collaborate well with others, have the ability to see both the big picture and details, and can communicate your work in a clear and pedagogical way. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
