RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work with qualified employment law in a role where you both drive issues strategically and make a difference in everyday life?

We are looking for an HR Specialist with a focus on employment law and negotiations who wants to help develop the municipality's employer policy and support our managers in complex matters.

The HR Unit is part of the municipality's central support operations and is organizationally placed within the Municipal Executive Board's administration. Here, we work closely with managers throughout the organization and are responsible for developing and coordinating both strategic and operational HR work.

We are four HR Specialists and four payroll administrators who work closely and support each other. You will become part of a competent and engaged work group characterized by very good cooperation.

In the role, you will be responsible for employment law issues and serve as a support to our managers as well as other HR colleagues. You will handle cases independently and contribute to the development of structures and working methods.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for and develop salary reviews and salary mapping.
  • Independently lead and conduct union negotiations, for example, MBL (Act on Co-Determination at Work), dispute, and individual cases.
  • Represent the municipality as an employer in dialogue and cooperation with trade union organizations.
  • Provide qualified support and advice to managers on employment law issues.
  • Ensure correct and uniform application of laws and collective agreements.
  • Plan and conduct training in employment law and negotiations.

The role involves many contact surfaces, and you will become an important part of creating clarity and security in employer issues together with us in the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

We want you to have:

  • An academic education in HR or law.
  • Experience in qualified HR work in a municipality with a focus on employment law and negotiations.
  • Experience in independently leading and conducting union negotiations.
  • Good knowledge of employment law legislation.
  • Experience in handling complex personnel cases and change processes.

To thrive in the role, you are confident in yourself and your competence. You build trust in meetings with both managers and union representatives and express yourself clearly, with the ability to adapt your communication to the situation and needs.

You have an analytical approach and can make well-founded assessments even in complex matters. At the same time, you are unpretentious and have a solution-focused working method, where you contribute with clear advice and drive issues forward.

We place great emphasis on your ability to cooperate. You have an open and positive manner, are easy to work with, and contribute to a good atmosphere in the group.
