Young Developer for Interreg Project STAR and Torsby Municipality

Torsby Municipality is now looking for a young developer who wants to contribute to the development of our region together with Torsby Municipality, Malung-Sälen Municipality, Grue Municipality, and Åsnes Municipality.

Job Responsibilities

The position is a full-time role where you will work:

• 50% in the Interreg project STAR
• 50% in Torsby Municipality

The Interreg Project STAR

The Interreg project STAR is a cross-border development project focusing on rural development and competence supply. The project aims to strengthen opportunities for people to live, work, and thrive in the region.

As a young developer, you contribute the youth perspective to the project and work closely with the project manager, administrator/communicator, and partners in both Sweden and Norway.

You will, among other things:

• Collaborate with businesses, organizations, and associations
• Participate in development efforts for the countryside
• Bring forward young people's ideas, needs, and perspectives
• Participate in activities and networks within the project

Municipal Part of the Role

In the municipal part of the role (50%), you will work together with the municipality's EU strategist to strengthen young people's participation in local development issues.

You will:

• Gather young people's thoughts and ideas regarding development and future issues
• Use various methods to collect information.
• Participate in development work within the municipality
• Receive training in the methods and approaches used

The location is Sysslebäck and Torsby.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for someone who is social, engaged, and proactive. You have a strong interest in development issues and societal development, thrive in collaboration and networking, and can work independently to drive issues forward. You are at the beginning of your career and want to help develop the municipality of the future.

We would appreciate if you have experience or interest in:

• Leading activities or projects
• Working with youth issues
• Experience with association life or voluntary work
• Contributing to development in the local community

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and Norwegian
• High school diploma

Merits:

• Experience with board work
• Experience with association work or voluntary engagement
• Experience with project or development work

Employment Conditions

• Salary: Monthly salary.
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: Start: ASAP. According to agreement, end: 2029-01-31.
• Working hours: Daytime.
