At Länsförsäkringar Värmland, you will play a key role in supporting business owners when their operations are affected by events such as fire, burglary, water damage, or machinery breakdowns. Here, you will combine customer contact, problem-solving, business understanding, and independent decision-making in a role where you make a real difference – both for the customer and for the business community in Värmland.
About the role
As a Claims Adjuster for Business, you are responsible for investigating, assessing, and settling claims for our business customers. You become a key advisor throughout the claims process and work closely with the customer to find solutions that help the business get back on track as quickly as possible. The work is based at the office but also includes customer visits on-site when the situation requires it. You will handle multiple cases simultaneously and collaborate closely with colleagues in claims adjustment, claims law, and other specialist areas. The role involves great variation; one day you might handle a claim at a local manufacturing company, and the next day help an entrepreneur, electrician, or consultancy firm move forward after an unforeseen event. You will also work with some agriculture-related cases and contribute to developing our competence in this area. You will be part of a work group consisting of 10 employees who handle claims within private, business, and agricultural insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate, assess, and settle business claims, including property, inventory, machinery, and business interruption
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with customers, suppliers, contractors, and other partners
- Conduct customer visits and inspections as needed
- Make independent decisions based on insurance terms, legislation, and business assessments
- Collaborate closely with claims lawyers and other specialist functions
- Contribute to high customer satisfaction, efficient processing times, and sound claims economics
- Identify customer needs and contribute to ensuring the customer has the right insurance solutions over time
Who are you?
We believe you have experience from a role where you have worked with investigation, assessment, customer dialogue, and independent responsibility. Perhaps you already work with business claims adjustment, or you come from a related field where you have built a strong understanding of business operations, technology, real estate, contracting, or risk management. You have the ability to put yourself in the customer's situation and can combine professional handling with the ability to make clear decisions. You enjoy taking responsibility, creating structure, and driving your cases forward, while also collaborating with others to find the best solutions.
We would appreciate experience in one of the following areas:
- Business claims adjustment or insurance
- Inspection, claims investigation, or risk prevention work
- Construction, contracting, or real estate-related operations
- Business advisory within banking or insurance
- Agriculture, green industries, or operations with a strong connection to business
Experience with agriculture and agricultural insurance is an advantage.
As a person, you are business-minded, solution-oriented, and trustworthy. You find it easy to build relationships with different types of people and feel equally comfortable at your desk as you do out at the customer's site. You are curious about new technology and see digital tools and AI as natural aids in your work.
