Do you want to work close to the operations and combine business analysis with a strong interest in production and business development? Are you a controller driven by understanding what lies behind the numbers and turning insights into concrete improvements? Then this might be the role for you.

Our current controller is moving on to new challenges, and we are now looking for his successor. You will become part of a competent and engaged finance department with eight employees, as well as a CFO and IT function. Together, we support seven companies in Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

With us, you will meet a future-oriented organization with high ambitions. We want to take our analyses, processes, and decision support to the next level by utilizing our ERP system better, developing our work within BI, and using AI as a natural tool in operations.

This is a broad and operationally close role where business controlling and production controlling meet. You will become an important partner to the Production Manager/COO, site managers, and the sales organization, helping them understand, monitor, and develop the business from an economic perspective.

The role involves great variation. One day you will delve into analyses of production results, capacity utilization, and TAK values; the next day you will lead a business review, participate in investment appraisals, or support the sales organization with analyses regarding price, volume, and profitability.

You work closely with production planners, site managers, and the sales organization and are expected to take initiative when you identify deviations or opportunities for improvement. You are expected not only to report numbers but also to understand the causes behind them and contribute to creating change.

Examples of areas of responsibility

• Analyze the business's results, key figures, and profitability
• Monitor production, capacity utilization, and economic outcomes
• Prepare decision support materials, business cases, and investment calculations
• Participate in business reviews together with site managers and business owners
• Support sales with analyses of price, volume, product, and customer profitability
• Identify areas for improvement and initiate activities for increased efficiency
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and KPI structures
• Contribute to digitalization, automation, and development of finance processes
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual closing work
• Be a support to the organization in economic and business matters
• Be involved in business cases regarding investments, acquisitions, or major initiatives
• Drive and coordinate cross-functional analyses between finance, production, and sales

You report to the CFO, and the role involves regular travel to our facilities, most of which are in Sweden, but also to operations in Norway and Finland. We believe in presence, both digital and physical, and offer flexibility with the possibility to combine office and remote work.

A suitable place of residence is, for example, in Dalarna, Närke, Värmland, or Gästrikland, but this is not decisive.

We believe you have a few years of experience as a Business Controller, Production Controller, or in a similar operationally close controller role within manufacturing or process industry. You are motivated by combining analysis, business understanding, and business development.

You have an academic education in economics or equivalent and feel confident in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis work. You are accustomed to working in ERP systems and have good knowledge of Excel as well as experience with BI and reporting tools.

If you have also worked with investment and profitability calculations, product or customer profitability management, or developed analyses in Power BI, we see it as a plus. Experience with Monitor and change or improvement work is also valuable.
