Description

Haninge Adapted Upper Secondary School has approximately 30 students. Our premises are located in close proximity to Eskilsparken and Torvalla Sport Centre. We work thematically in small classes and adapt the teaching to each student's individual support needs.

Responsibilities

As a student assistant, you work together with teachers and other assistants to support our students in the best possible way. The focus is on the students' development and well-being within the operation. The students study subject areas at the adapted upper secondary school (Lgyan25).

The tasks vary, but common duties include:

• Pedagogical support: Breaking down instructions into concrete, physical actions in subject areas.
• Food and meal support: Assisting during meals, feeding the student, and handling any assistive devices or special diets.
• Alternative Communication (AAC): Using picture support, Sign Support (TAKK), PECS, or digital communication tools to understand the student.
• Mobility and ergonomics: Using ceiling lifts, wheelchairs, and other technical aids safely throughout the school day.
• Safety and medical support: Monitoring the student's health status and administering medication or managing epileptic seizures according to written self-care instructions.

You are the students' support throughout the entire school day. You must be self-reliant and take initiative, while remaining attuned to the students' needs and having the ability to build trusting relationships.

Qualifications

We require that you have experience working with students who have different prerequisites. Our operation has a need for medical knowledge, knowledge regarding challenging behavior, and pedagogical competence.
