The Unit's Mission
The position is organizationally placed in the staff of Region Syd, but the mission is carried out in close collaboration with the IT Business Area and other departments within the Swedish Public Employment Service. This means that in your daily work, you will be part of cross-functional collaborations where the operational needs and the development of the agency's system support are in focus.
Region Syd is responsible for providing coordinated support to job seekers with a great need for support, as well as to employers who are open to broadened recruitment. As a Business Developer, you contribute to developing the operational operations by improving ways of working, processes, and the system support used in daily work.
The role is part of the Development Object "Unified Workspace" (SAY). Together with colleagues from the operational operations, the IT Business Area, and other parts of the agency, you work to ensure that the system support is developed based on the operational needs and provides the right support to employees in their work. You contribute by identifying development needs, representing the operational perspective, and creating conditions for solutions that provide increased user benefit and an efficient operation.
Job Description
In the role of Business Developer within the development object SAY, you work cross-functionally together with colleagues from operational operations, other departments, and IT. Your mission is to support the assurance that the system support assists the operational operations in the right way.
Your main tasks:
- Identify and analyze operational needs
- Drive and participate in improvement and development initiatives
- Translate operational needs into requirements for processes and digital solutions
- Collaborate closely with IT in the development of solutions related to the development object
- Follow up and ensure that implemented changes give the desired effect
You will become part of an organization in change, where the way of working is characterized by cross-functional collaboration, a holistic perspective, and continuous development.

In close collaboration with colleagues from different parts of the organization, you contribute with your knowledge to develop and improve the operations. The position is a fixed-term full-time employment from 2026-09-01 to 2028-08-31. The place of work is Malmö. Travel is included in the position.

Basic Requirements for the Position
- Post-secondary education of at least 180 hp/120 p according to the previous system, within e.g., political science, economics, or other experience that the employer considers equivalent
- At least three years of current experience of work within the labor market area or other rule-based operations where the work has been carried out based on laws, regulations, or internal governing rules
- Documented and current experience of the Swedish Public Employment Service's operational operations, with good knowledge of the operations' ways of working, processes, and system support, as well as understanding of how these are used in daily work to create user benefit
- Good knowledge of state governance and the conditions that apply for business development within a state agency, e.g., regarding governance, regulations, and work processes
Other Merits for the Position
- Experience of public operations and governance via, for example, allocation letters
- Experience of translating complex needs into concrete solutions
- Experience of working in or close to digital development/IT support
