Lawyer for the Child and Education Sector in Höör Municipality

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with both sector leadership and principals, playing a key function in supporting operations with legal matters. You will work both operationally and strategically, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and contributing to the development of methods and routines within the legal field.

Among other things, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing qualified support within administrative law, school law, public access and secrecy, as well as data protection and GDPR
  • Handling legal cases related to the sector's work
  • Supporting principals in legal assessments and official duties
  • Training and guiding staff on legal issues and personal data management
  • Developing and updating governing documents and routines within the area of responsibility
  • Preparing and presenting cases for the responsible committee and external authorities
  • Driving development processes within the legal field based on operational needs
  • Working with the municipality's responsibilities regarding supervision and auditing of independent preschools

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is confident in their legal expertise and has the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical, practice-oriented solutions. You work in a structured manner and are skilled at prioritizing between long-term development issues and more urgent cases. You have strong pedagogical skills and can communicate legal assessments clearly and appropriately to different target groups within the operations. Since you will work both independently and with colleagues, we look for someone who thrives in an independent role but also has excellent collaboration skills. We also value proactivity, strong analytical skills, and a desire to develop operations based on your area of responsibility.

We expect you to have:

  • A law degree
  • Experience in legal work
  • Experience interpreting, applying, and implementing laws and regulatory documents
  • Good knowledge of school law, administrative law, data protection legislation, as well as public access and secrecy
  • A good understanding and experience of public administration and official duties
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both written and spoken
  • Previous experience working within educational activities is considered an advantage.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: According to agreement.
Working hours: Daytime.

The position will be filled subject to the necessary political decisions being made and provided it is not needed for internal use.
