Modity is now looking for an Accountant who wants to help develop the finance function while being responsible for qualified accounting work.
About the Role
You will become part of the finance department, which consists of seven people distributed across three areas: financial settlement, physical settlement, and accounting. The accounting team currently consists of two people, and you will report directly to the CFO. This role suits you if you enjoy classic accounting work but are also driven by developing processes, streamlining workflows, and creating smarter ways of working. Modity is facing several exciting development initiatives where the finance department wants to take further steps towards more automated and efficient processes. Here, you will have the opportunity to be an important part of that journey.
Your main responsibilities:
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
- Ongoing accounting and account reconciliations
- Reporting to authorities and external stakeholders
- Profit and loss analysis and financial follow-up
- Handling payment flows and final bookings
- Preparation of the annual report
- Participation in business and development projects
- Streamlining and automation of finance processes
- Driving and being responsible for Modity's part in audit reviews
- Internal control and process development
- System administration/superuser
We are looking for you who
We are looking for someone with accounting experience who wants to take an active role in developing both working methods and processes.
You see opportunities where others see routines and are motivated by creating structure, improving processes, and contributing to the business's development, while also appreciating operational and daily accounting work.
We see that you have:
- Post-secondary education in economics or accounting
- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in qualified accounting work
- Experience in preparing annual reports
- Experience in driving and being responsible for work with external auditors
- Experience with closing processes and reporting
- Experience in developing or streamlining finance processes
- Good system proficiency and a technical interest
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English
It is meritorious if you have experience with the business system Dynamics 365 Business Central and have worked with Qlik Sense or similar BI tools for analysis, follow-up, and reporting.

About the Employment
This is a direct recruitment where OIO is responsible for the recruitment process. The employment is directly with our partner company.
- Scope: Full-time
- Start: September 2026 or as agreed
- Location: Lund
- Working hours: Weekdays, office hours, hybrid with the majority of time in the office
- Employment type: Permanent position with an initial probationary period
