On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for a Coordinating Project Manager within urban planning. The position is full-time and is expected to start immediately and run until 2026-12-31, with the possibility of extension.

About the Assignment

We are seeking an experienced and driven coordinating project manager for a strategic assignment related to a large-scale societal establishment of national interest.

The assignment involves leading and coordinating work around a complex permitting and review process involving several authorities, regional actors, and internal operations. The role has a clear focus on coordination, structure, and communication, and requires a professional, neutral, and legally secure approach.

You will be a key person in the organization's work to ensure smooth coordination throughout the entire process. The assignment includes both internal coordination and external collaboration with various stakeholders.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Leading and coordinating the organization's work in the current establishment process.
• Coordinating relevant operations such as urban planning, environment, management, legal, and communications.
• Serving as the contact person for state authorities, regional actors, and other external parties.
• Following and supporting the work through various stages of the application and permitting process.
• Coordinating statements, supplements, and feedback.
• Ensuring clear internal information and preparing decision materials for political leadership.
• Responsible for objective and fact-based external communication towards residents, media, and other stakeholders.
• Contributing to well-functioning processes, documentation, and structure.

Start: Immediately
End: 2026-12-31 (with possibility of extension)
Scope: 100%, 40 hours per week
Location: A smaller municipality in Östergötland
Work format: On-site

About You

We are looking for you who meet the following mandatory requirements:

• Have an academic education in fields such as urban planning, societal development, political science, or equivalent.
• Have several years of experience in project management or coordination in complex assignments.
• Have experience from the public sector or work in politically governed organizations.
• Have documented experience of contact with authorities and larger collaboration processes.
• Have very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Work independently, structured, and with high integrity.

It is meritorious if you also meet the following requirements:

• Experience of societal development or planning issues.
• Experience of larger establishment, infrastructure, or energy projects.
• Experience of leading complex projects with many stakeholders.
• Experience of working in a politically governed organization.
