The County Administrative Board is an expert agency in areas such as nature and environment, urban planning and rural affairs, directly subordinate to the Government. We act as a link between people, municipalities, regions, and various authorities. We work to ensure that national goals are implemented in the county. We do this by looking at the whole picture in our authority's operations, by disseminating knowledge, and by coordinating and developing various substantive issues. The Unit for Civil Protection and Emergency Preparedness consists of eight employees and a unit manager. The unit is responsible for developing civil preparedness internally and regionally, risk and vulnerability work, continuity work, security protection, signal protection, and risks in societal planning. There is a deputy unit manager/defense director at the unit. The County Administrative Board has the role of geographical area responsibility, which means that we should be able to coordinate and direct during crises.

Job Responsibilities

You will mainly work with supply preparedness in a project group until the turn of the year 2026/2027. The County Administrative Board follows guidelines from the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) and will prioritize working with areas relevant to the county. Specific content in the position may be influenced by both your background and new assignments. Other tasks within the civil protection and emergency preparedness area may occur.

Qualifications and Profile

You have:

• Post-secondary education that the employer deems relevant for the position.
• Category B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you have experience of:

• Mapping and analyses of different areas such as transport, energy, food, repair readiness.
• Investigations as well as risk and vulnerability analyses.
• Working in a project form.
• Industry competence (e.g., within construction and civil engineering, transport, or food).
• Good knowledge of the county's conditions within different sector areas.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. As a person, you are proactive, analytical, receptive, have good administrative skills, as well as good pedagogical skills and are easy to collaborate with. You must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

About the Position

The employment is a fixed-term employment. The desired start date is during August 2026, or as agreed. The employment lasts until December 31, 2026.

All positions at the County Administrative Board may be subject to security clearance and war-time placement depending on the nature of the assignment.

The salary range for the current position is 38,000 - 44,000 SEK/month.
