The Urban Planning Administration in Järfälla Municipality has a broad mandate, responsible for everything from the early stages of the urban planning process to operation and management. We are over 320 employees working together for the operations under the Environmental and Building Permits Committee, the Technical Committee, and the Municipal Executive Board. Järfälla is an expanding municipality; we are growing both geographically and organizationally.

The Land and Development Department is relatively new and was formed through the merger of three units. The department is now working to create common working methods and a strong shared culture. Within the department, the Unit for Project Development of Public Space is responsible for the design and expansion of public space in our projects. The Unit for Project Development of Exploitation is responsible for land ownership and development issues.

We are now looking for a Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator who wants to work strategically and close to operations within urban planning. The unit consists of approximately 10 project managers and construction managers with different backgrounds and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator, you play a central role in developing, coordinating, and following up on the Urban Planning Administration's work regarding quality, environment, and sustainability. You work closely with managers, project managers, and employees within the administration and contribute to ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with legal requirements, steering documents, and set goals.

The work is varied and includes both strategic and operational tasks. You participate in projects at various stages from planning to production and collaborate with both internal functions and external actors such as contractors and consultants.

Tasks

Develop, manage, and ensure the quality of the municipality's occupational health and safety work in projects, both in public space and building construction projects.
Follow up, analyze, and report on goals, results, and key figures related to the environment.
Drive and support improvement and development work in the operations in this area.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements regarding quality, environment, sustainability, and occupational health and safety in our projects.
Coordinate the Urban Planning Administration's environmental work, coordination with the sustainability department, and external reporting.
Conduct internal controls, risk analyses, and investigations.
Train and support managers and employees in the areas of quality, environment, and occupational health and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have an academic degree (university/college) in Urban Planning, Building and Civil Engineering, Environmental Science/Environmental Technology, Industrial Economics, or similar.

You also have:

Documented experience working with quality, environment, and occupational health and safety in building and civil engineering projects (requirement).
Experience in steering, follow-up, and analysis, preferably within public operations.
Good knowledge of the Office package and experience working in various operational systems.
