About Us
At the Swedish Customs Authority (Tullverket), you contribute to creating a safe and secure society. The Executive Management Support Unit is responsible for directing and developing the Swedish Customs Authority's strategic work – and we need more people! The unit consists of approximately 15 employees who support the agency's management with strategic issues, change management, national and international matters, strategic operational development, and operational control.
About the Position
The Swedish Customs Authority conducts extensive national and international work covering all departments and operations within the agency. Your role is to ensure the strategic perspective in the agency's national and international work. You collaborate closely with employees within the agency and take into account the agency's entire mandate. You have external contacts with, for example, other authorities and the Government Offices (Regeringskansliet), as well as with other countries and organizations.
You provide qualified support to the executive management, for example by preparing materials or participating in international and national meetings at a strategic level. You monitor and analyze important strategic areas, both international and national, on behalf of the Swedish Customs Authority.
In addition to planned assignments, the role includes tasks that require the ability to quickly reschedule your time. Therefore, you need to be flexible and enjoy taking on new issues of both a national and international nature. We would appreciate it if you had knowledge of crime prevention work and/or knowledge of customs procedures and/or international trade.
Are you the one we are looking for?
We are looking for you who have:
- An academic education in law, political science, social sciences, economics, or another education considered equivalent.
- Experience working in a government agency.
- Experience in qualified coordination at a strategic level.
- Experience working with international issues.
- Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
- Good knowledge of the Office suite.
- Swedish citizenship.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience working in the Government Offices (Regeringskansliet).
- Experience and knowledge of crime prevention activities.
- Experience and knowledge of customs procedures.
- Experience and work with international trade.
- Experience working with steering and control.

As a person, you have a very good ability to collaborate and build trust internally and externally. You are comfortable assisting the agency's management and leaders at a strategic level. You are meticulous in your work and deliver with high quality. You are stress-resistant and can handle work peaks while remaining clear-headed and prioritizing your tasks. To work in the Executive Management Support Unit, you need to be able to operate at a strategic level and be flexible enough to take on different types of tasks. You also need to have good analytical skills and be able to understand causes and propose solutions. You are a person who drives and collaborates both internally and externally.

Employment type: The position is a permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period, and individual salary setting applies.
