Primary School Teacher for Bojarskolan in Strömstad

Strömstad Municipality is a small and close-knit organization where everyone is important and works together to deliver the best possible service.

Bojarskolan is a two-stream primary and lower secondary school with just over 320 students and approximately 40 staff members. We are located in a beautiful natural setting near forests and the sea. Bojarskolan has undergone renovation in various phases over a longer period. The most recent phase, Phase 3, has been completed, enabling more and flexible learning environments for students and staff. A new school library has also been established during the renovation, which we use in many different ways for learning and is highly appreciated by both students and staff.

During the autumn term of 2026 (HT-26), we will continue with the renovation. Phase 4 involves a thorough refurbishment of Bojarskolan's outdoor environment with the aim of creating a more inviting and active outdoor space that encourages creativity and movement.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a primary school teacher for our shining students in Grade 1.

In the role of a class teacher, you will:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate lessons in various subjects according to the curriculum.
• Work together with colleagues in work teams to develop teaching.
• Maintain ongoing documentation of students' development and progress.
• Maintain regular contact with guardians to inform them about students' development and schooling.
• Collaborate with the student health team to support students with special needs.

Please note that there are two positions: One is a fixed-term employment for parental leave during the period 2026-08-11 to 2027-02-28, and the other position is a permanent position.

Start date: 2026-08-11 or according to agreement.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility for primary school (Grades F-3). We would prefer that you also have experience/eligibility for teaching in both Grades F-3 and 4-6. You have good IT skills and are accustomed to working in various digital systems.

In your professional role, you are outgoing and socially active. As a relationship-building person, you naturally build relationships in professional contexts. You find solutions to emerging problems and move forward effectively even if you encounter challenges. You work efficiently in a demanding environment and manage to maintain a generally good mood and professional demeanor.

For you, it is important to create professional relationships with both students, colleagues, and guardians.

You can communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
