Educator - Permanent Position

About the Role

As an educator here, you will become part of the Development and Learning department. You will join a creative and cross-professional team consisting of guides, educators, and project managers. Together, we work to strengthen individuals' scientific capital – from the child making their first discovery to the teacher seeking new inspiration for their teaching.

In this role, you will design and implement educational programs that make complex science understandable and enjoyable. You will work both in our learning environments within the building and in our mobile operations, bringing science out to where children and young people are.

Your Responsibilities

• Design learning experiences - plan, conduct, and develop educational programs and activities.
• Innovation in learning - work with continuous improvement of our initiatives by integrating current research and new methods.
• Mobile operations - participate in mobile activities to reach new target groups and democratize access to science.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who combines a solid pedagogical foundation with a passion for science education.

Basic Requirements:

• Teacher education in natural sciences, technology, or mathematics and/or similar. We welcome applications with competence and experience from teaching in after-school centers (fritidshem).
• Pedagogical and subject-specific competence within STEM and a good understanding of sustainable development.
• Experience leading groups of children and young people, with the ability to adapt your pedagogy to different ages and conditions.
• Communication skills: You are skilled at making complex connections simple and engaging without losing scientific depth.

Meritorious:

• Experience in mobile or outreach activities.
• Experience in developing learning processes in a school context.

You have analytical sharpness and are structured enough to drive your own projects, but you also see collaboration in the cross-professional team as your greatest strength. You are adaptable and can quickly adjust your pedagogy depending on whether you are meeting a group of children in the rainforest or holding a workshop for principals. Employment Terms

Permanent position with a start date after agreement. Probation period of 6 months.

Full-time. The work may involve weekend and evening work.
