Job Description

The role of study support assistant (modersmål) involves supporting students in their development and learning in close collaboration with other school staff. The position requires placement at several different schools during a work week and travel between schools within the municipality. The role requires cooperation with the principal and staff at the schools. The job also includes collaborating with and developing the work together with colleagues at the mother tongue unit.

The teaching group (mother tongue teachers and study support assistants) holds pedagogical conferences and study days together. You will also have daily contact with school staff. The position requires good language and IT skills, as well as the ability to integrate digital technology into teaching.

Qualifications

You must be proficient in Vietnamese and Swedish in various school subjects and teaching situations. You structure and organize the work based on steering documents, and you analyze and document students' abilities and knowledge.

Swedish teacher certification is meritorious, as is other pedagogical (or otherwise relevant) education and experience working with children/young people.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

An employment may be preceded by a language test to assess your proficiency in Swedish. Experience working with digital learning tools is essential for success in this role.

Employment Terms

• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 6 months or longer.
• Start date: As agreed.

Criminal Record Check Requirement

To begin working in preschool, school, after-school centers, and other pedagogical activities, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record (belastningsregister). The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the Swedish Police Authority (www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se)).

Individuals who have not presented an extract from the criminal record cannot be employed, engaged, or admitted to the activity according to current legal requirements.
