About the workplace

Welcome to Frändeskolan! We are a school with approximately 200 students, ranging from preschool class to grade 6, located in Frändefors. We have two after-school care departments characterized by developed and trust-based collaboration.

We work together to develop our school and after-school activities. Last academic year, we were awarded a state grant for "Language-strengthening measures during school holidays," which meant a major focus on further education in language-strengthening work. We have invested in targeted initiatives in fiction and non-fiction literature, developed formats for interactive book reading and writing, and utilized aesthetic learning processes combined with thematic excursions during school holidays. This has enriched our after-school activities. For the upcoming academic year, we have also received funding from the Swedish Special Educational Needs Authority for a development project aimed at strengthening the social, physical, and pedagogical learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

You will work together with us in both the preschool class and the after-school care activities.

Qualifications

You must be educated as a teacher (grades 1–3), alternatively a preschool teacher with eligibility to teach in preschool class, or a teacher in after-school care.

In the role, you are expected to have a strong ability to build trust-based, good, and humble relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. This means you are cooperative, flexible, solution-oriented, and able to adapt your approach to different situations. We are looking for someone with a burning interest in pedagogical activities, who dares to accept challenges and sees the importance of the compensatory mission. We assume that you view every student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students – that you know every student performs based on their prerequisites, and that it is your task as a teacher and pedagogue to meet every student's needs. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Conditions

This is a substitute position, likely for a longer duration, based on a colleague's sick leave. We prefer a start in August, but the position may also cover summer holidays. Start date is by agreement.
