Your Workplace

The Adult Education Department in Härryda Municipality has a total of approximately 800 students. The educational forms available within the operation include Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), Komvux (Adult Education) as adapted education, basic and upper secondary adult education which includes care and nursing education, vocational adult education within the Gothenburg Region Municipal Consortium, validation, and university college. Some commissioned training currently exists and is planned to be expanded.

The school is characterized by diversity and flexibility. The Adult Education Department is located in Mölnlycke, approximately 15 minutes from central Gothenburg.

Your Role

The duties may include support, mapping, student interviews, adaptation, and participation in the development work of the operation. The tasks involve working with students ranging from Swedish for Immigrants to University College level. Group teaching, primarily in adapted study programs, as well as collaboration with social services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and other organizations is common. Evening teaching may also occur.

The position is a temporary summer contract, and a probationary permanent position may be an option.

Requirements for the Position

You must be a qualified special needs teacher or special educator. Previous experience in adult education is an advantage. Experience in applying for funding for development work is also considered an advantage.

You are accustomed to and interested in working independently, while simultaneously being easy to collaborate with regarding students. You have experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities or similar challenges.

To obtain employment, an extract from the Police's criminal record register must be presented. An extract from the suspicion register may also be required depending on the position.
