About the School

Hjortmosseskolan is a municipal primary school (grades F-6) centrally located with approximately 400 students. Each grade works in teams where teachers and after-school care staff work closely together as a team with weekly team meetings. This is a working method that we will continue to develop with the aim of focusing on the student's entire day with us. We actively work to strengthen the work in our teams, where differentiated teaching with a flexible and dynamic approach is our main focus area.

The school also works with prioritized student health, where the entire student health team works closely with the teams as support, with the aim of student health starting in the classroom. At Hjortmosseskolan, you will be part of a journey aimed at moving forward towards a modern school, where we see that we are strong together and that this makes it possible to reach our goals, but primarily for the students.

If you want to be part of this and are comfortable with collaboration, thinking in terms of TEAM, and have a desire to work dynamically and flexibly for the students' opportunities for the best learning, then I think you should apply for the position with us.

Hjortmosseskolan F-6 is looking for a teacher due to a vacancy, a substitute position for grade 3 that we wish to fill with a certified teacher. In the first phase during the autumn term, but there are good opportunities for this to become a substitute position for the entire school year.

Responsibilities

With us, you will work closely together with your teaching colleagues, and you will share most of the responsibility for the students' entire school day. "Everything needs to be done, but not everyone needs to do everything." You have a joint responsibility for the students' knowledge development and learning, and the team is with you. You collaborate on pedagogical development work and documentation according to the primary school curriculum and operational goals. With this working method, you will never feel alone in your assignment.

The working method has several advantages, but it requires you to be able and willing to collaborate, to be prepared for rotation, and to trust your colleagues' ability to take responsibility for the parts you have decided on together. Working at Hjortmosseskolan will mean that your role will be both as a teaching teacher for a larger group (class) and for a smaller one, depending on the students' needs. The special needs teacher assignment is included in the team's work with this increased teacher density, which means that you together spend time on analysis and constantly seek ways forward for all students' best opportunity for goal fulfillment. Every week, at least 1 hour is allocated for analysis of teaching and students' learning/being, and the student health team is available as an important player in moving forward. The after-school care teachers are part of the team and always participate in Swedish and mathematics teaching, as well as being responsible for a PE subject. As principal, I have high expectations of myself and, consequently, of my staff. The school works to ensure that everyone feels comfortable, challenges and analyzes teaching for effective and accurate learning, and that personal and professional development is a natural part of our daily lives.

Qualifications

Collaboration and flexibility need to be skills you are comfortable with, as teamwork provides space to share challenges and teaching based on what you come up with together according to the students' needs.

You have insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to put these into practice in daily work.

You will be highly involved in all teaching in mathematics, Swedish/SVA, and English, and there is at least one additional subject, but you are also part of the students' entire school day. Every morning, you meet for 20 minutes to secure the day's staffing needs and look at planned organization and layout, so flexibility is a good trait to bring with you.

Working as a teacher with us requires you to be proactive and have good collaboration skills. We see that you have a positive attitude, initiative, and that you can adapt your approach based on the situation and the students. We want you to have a great interest in developing the pedagogical activities for the student's entire school day.

It is important that you see each student from a holistic perspective and that you have a holistic and salutogenic approach where you focus on what works in your view of the student and that you know that every student performs what they can based on their prerequisites. You know that your important task as a teacher is to meet each student's unique needs and to create the best conditions for learning under your guidance and stimulation.

We see that you need to be familiar with the assignment based on current governing documents to contribute as a team player. If you have experiences where you have shown knowledge in planning, implementing, documenting, following up, and developing pedagogical work, that is positive.

You are good at and work every day to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

We look forward to your application!
