Strömstad Municipality is a small and close-knit organization where everyone is important and works together to deliver the best possible service.

Mellegården School is located in a beautiful natural setting, approximately 15 km east of Strömstad center. It is a smaller school with around 100 students and an after-school care section with about 40 students. For us, it is important that every student reaches as far as possible in their knowledge development, feels safe, and enjoys being with us. All students are everyone's children at our school. Our small teaching team supports each other across grade levels and collaborates in the ways that are possible for us. We also have close collaboration with the schools in Skee and on Rossö.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You share Mellegården School's pedagogical approach, where care is central to strengthening each student's self-worth, empathy, and sense of inclusion. With a conscious and present working method, you notice what works, put words to progress, and build trusting relationships.

You are a key part of creating a positive and safe community both in the classroom, in meetings with guardians, and together with your colleagues. Through your engagement, you contribute to an environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and significant.

As a teacher at Mellegården School, you have a central role in delivering high-quality education. Together with your work team, you plan, implement, document, and evaluate teaching with a focus on each student's development. Our common focus areas—security, study environment, and increased attendance—are the foundation where learning can grow and our students develop.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a skilled and engaged teacher with a teaching license and have a clear ability to create strong, trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Through your relationship-building leadership, you contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student is given the best possible conditions to develop.

You have good experience working with the circle model and use it consciously to strengthen students' language and knowledge development. With a structured and language-developing working method, you support students in reaching further in their learning.

You are professional, reflective, and development-oriented in your role, and are happy to share your knowledge and experiences with colleagues. Through your engagement and pedagogical skill, you actively contribute to the school's development.
