About Rydsberg School

Those who work at Rydsberg School work daily according to the motto "I want it to go well for you." This applies primarily to the relationship with our students, but also to how we treat each other as staff. Rydsberg School is a school you will want to work at for many years! We have teachers with high competence, we have well-functioning structures and routines, supportive leadership, and we work to continuously develop together.

Rydsberg School has been selected to be a training school for the University of Gothenburg, which means we host many teacher students who do their practicum with our skilled teachers. Our contact with the university helps our school keep up with the latest school research.

We work to adapt all teaching for students with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and have a well-functioning system to help students in need of support (flex units). Additionally, we have a special teaching group focusing on promoting attendance and psychosocial pedagogical work.

We have an increased basic staffing level to avoid hiring external substitutes, which means students only meet staff they have a relationship with.

We provide our students with extra movement that benefits their health and improves their ability to learn.

Rydsberg School offers education in grades 6–9 and is located in Lerum. The school has approximately 450 students distributed across four work teams.

Responsibilities

You will be an important piece in the work to provide our students with high-quality and inclusive education. We believe in our students and know the difference good teaching and respectful treatment make.

We are now looking for you who are qualified and have experience teaching Science (NO) grades 6-9 and Technology grade 6, as well as mentoring within the same work team.

With us, you are offered varied work where you will be responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of lessons. Together with your colleagues, you will shape a developing, secure, joyful, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus.

At Rydsberg School, you will work in work teams and subject teams with highly competent colleagues and in close collaboration with our strong student health team, so that together and in good cooperation with guardians, we can make a difference for all students.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher for teaching Science and Technology grades 6-9. We would like you to have a few years of teaching experience, but it is not a requirement for the position.

We are looking for you who have a positive attitude and good subject knowledge. You are flexible regarding all daily and long-term changes that are part of the pedagogical work. You have good cooperation skills and are good at building relationships. To motivate, inspire, and challenge the students, you need the ability to show warmth and set boundaries.

If you are a teacher with great commitment and a desire to help develop the school's operations, we believe you fit the assignment. If you also have a good ability to clarify the goals of the education and see each student's opportunities to reach them, we look forward to your application.

In accordance with the directive, you are hereby informed that the salary statistics for this position are:

  • 10th percentile: 36,500
  • Median: 45,900
  • 90th percentile: 49,200
