We are looking for a Special Needs Teacher (Specialpedagog)

We equip our students for lifelong learning based on our vision of students who want, can, and dare. As a special needs teacher, you contribute to this through your knowledge of learning prerequisites, how to promote and prevent obstacles. This is to create security for teachers and students and to increase goal achievement.

As a special needs teacher, you support teachers in planning instruction to meet the needs of all students. You have a strategic holistic focus where organization, routines, and the learning environment are the starting point. You map out and propose adjustments at the organizational, group, and individual levels. Together with the school leadership and other colleagues, you ensure that the physical, pedagogical, and social learning environment is accessible to all our students.

As one of two special needs teachers, you are part of the school's student health team. You are a knowledge resource for your colleagues and our school leadership by contributing your special pedagogical competence in the promoting, preventive, and remedial work. We work with the Student Health Meeting (EHM) model, which aims for student health services and educators to have a common forum for promoting student health work.

You are also part of the school's development team, where you work with the school's pedagogical development together with school leadership, lead teachers, and colleagues. Together with the principal, you distribute support and interventions. You mentor teachers and student resources and work closely with the school's full-time mentors.

Qualifications

To be relevant for the role, we see that you have:

• A degree in Special Needs Pedagogy (Specialpedagogexamen)
• Previous experience working in upper secondary school or the later years of compulsory school

We also expect you to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and to formulate yourself well in assessments and action plans. You handle documentation in a professional, forward-looking, and clear manner. We use the journal system Prorenata.
