RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help develop an industrial program in strong growth?

Our municipality has a clear political ambition to strengthen and expand the upper secondary school's industrial program. As part of this, we are looking for an engaged and skilled teacher who wants to contribute to shaping future industrial competence.

About the position

As a teacher with us, you teach industrial technical subjects within welding, as well as program-specific industrial courses. You will become an important part of a growing program, where you get to influence both content and development.

We are an IW-certified school, which means we would appreciate it if you have IWS training. If you also have valid welding test certificates within 135, 136, 111, and 141, it is an advantage.

The role includes, among other things:

• Teaching in welding and industrial production
• Mentoring a group of students
• Planning, conducting, and developing teaching
• Assessment and grading
• Creating good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
• Other tasks related to the upper secondary school's operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is qualified as a vocational teacher in industrial technical subjects or has extensive professional experience from the industry
• Has IWS certification
• Has experience with cutting and machining
• Has current welding test certificates within 135, 136, 111, and 141
• Has good pedagogical skills and a genuine commitment to young people's learning
• Is structured, responsible, and team-oriented
• Enjoys building relationships and creating a safe and motivating learning environment.

It is an advantage if you also have qualifications to train in hot work, fall protection, overhead cranes, lifts, and/or forklifts.

Duration: Start date: 2026-09-01 or by agreement.

There is an opportunity to combine the work with being a part-time firefighter. Assessment is made based on the needs of the operations.
