You teach all subjects in the intermediate school level (grades 4–6), with the exception of PREST subjects, which creates good conditions for continuity, holistic education, and high quality in teaching. As a primary school teacher at Geijerskolan, you have an overall and long-term teaching responsibility for grades 4–6.

As a teacher in the City of Malmö, you are building the city of the future – every day. With us, you get a mission with trust, clarity, and the opportunity to make a real difference in students' learning and development. You are independently responsible for planning, implementation, follow-up, assessment, and grading in accordance with the curriculum and the City of Malmö's steering documents. The work is characterized by structure, clear goals, and a conscious strive for an equitable and legally secure assessment practice.

In grade 6, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of the national tests in mathematics and Swedish in collaboration with colleagues and special education teachers. The work includes adaptations and analysis of results as a basis for continued teaching development.

You are part of an engaged and professional team where collegial learning, shared responsibility, and a common view of teaching quality are central. At Geijerskolan, there is ongoing systematic development work focused on reading and writing development as well as quality in teaching – and you are expected to actively contribute to and take responsibility for this work.

You are an engaged and secure teacher with clear pedagogical and relational leadership. You have high and realistic expectations for students, work in a structured and goal-oriented manner, and are accustomed to creating a calm study environment through clarity, care, and professionalism.

You take responsibility for your teaching, continuously reflect on your practice, and use both research and proven experience to develop your work.
