The Legal Department at the Swedish Public Employment Service has an important mission
Our Legal Department is responsible for the legal work of the Swedish Public Employment Service. We drive the agency's legal development and ensure high quality in all legal matters. As the agency becomes more efficient and focuses on its core mission, our work becomes even more important. Together with our colleagues in the organization, we work to create a legally secure and efficient labor market.
The department is divided into three legal units. The Contract, IT, and Administrative Law Unit works within the legal areas of contract law and procurement law, public access to information and secrecy, security protection, personal data, IT law, data protection, and administrative law. Within the Contract, IT, and Administrative Law Unit, there is a group specialized primarily in contract and procurement law. You will be part of this group.
Job Description
As an in-house lawyer here, you will have a central role in ensuring that the agency's operations are conducted in accordance with current legislation. You will independently and in close collaboration with colleagues:
- Answer questions, conduct legal investigations, and provide guidance to the organization on complex issues within various legal areas.
- Respond to official consultations, prepare, and review governing and guiding documents.
- Provide qualified support in legal matters primarily related to contracts and procurement.
- Represent the agency in general courts and administrative courts.
This role suits you if you have strong analytical skills and make well-founded decisions based on the information you gather to solve tasks. You have a strong holistic view and are comfortable working with different tasks and legal areas, while being able to adapt your working methods and continuously develop based on the organization's needs.
You collaborate well with others and contribute to a helpful and attentive work climate, where you take responsibility for carrying out tasks together. At the same time, you have the ability to work independently by planning, driving, and following up on your work to achieve good results.
You can also analyze information flows, see connections, and make well-founded decisions based on these.
What We Offer
The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The location is Solna.

Basic Requirements for the Position
- Law degree (equivalent to Juris Cand.).
- At least three years of experience in qualified legal work, including at least one year in public sector operations.
- Experience in contract and procurement law.
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Other Merits for the Position
- Completed notary education or equivalent experience.
- Experience in litigation.
- Experience in providing legal support in IT procurements.
- Experience in intellectual property law.
