About Us

The Swedish Customs Authority's operational activities are divided into four departments: Control, Revenue, Customs Crime, and Intelligence.
The Intelligence Department collects, processes, analyzes, and handles intelligence information, performs risk analyses, and works with intelligence activities within all parts of the Swedish Customs Authority's mandate, covering both illegal and dangerous goods as well as revenue collection. The work aims to prevent, detect, and stop criminal activity. The department is divided into four units with geographical responsibility: South, West, East, and North, and also consists of the Swedish Customs Authority's Selection Center (TSC) as well as the unit for strategic analysis and the national desk.
TSC is an important part of implementing the Swedish Customs Authority's mandate by providing expertise in selection and profiling capabilities. We are looking for a case worker for the Swedish Customs Authority's Selection Center (TSC). The position is permanent with a start date as soon as possible.
About the Position
The Swedish Customs Authority's Selection Center (TSC) has the mandate to select and profile, manage risk outcomes, and suggest risk objects in the Swedish Customs Authority's operational information with the aim of preventing, stopping, and detecting smuggling crimes. In your role as a case worker, you will work on generating control orders, handling risk outcomes in the Swedish Customs Authority's selection tools, creating risk rules, and analyzing transport flows to identify deviations.
In this role as a case worker at the Swedish Customs Authority's Selection Center, you will work operationally in our development, analysis, and selection group, focusing on handling automatic outcomes and control recommendations within ICS2, as well as analyzing declarations from third countries to find deviations regarding security and protection.
As an employee at the Swedish Customs Authority's Selection Center, you are expected to contribute to and work for the continuous development and improvement of operations together with managers and other employees. The work includes, among other things, developing routines and work methods, participating in development work related to the selection area, and IT support is an important part of everyday life.
Management and control are largely remote, and as an employee, you work nationally, which means you collaborate with colleagues located in different parts of the country working with different flows. This places high demands on teamwork and flexibility. Collaboration internally as well as with external authorities is a natural part of the work.
We are looking for someone who is development-oriented and passionate about finding deviations. We would appreciate it if you have a broad understanding of the Swedish Customs Authority's mandate and customs procedures.
In addition to the Swedish Customs Authority's values, the work should be characterized by quality, proactivity, and collaboration. Collaboration occurs both internally and with external parties.
Are you the one we are looking for?
We are looking for someone who has:
- The Swedish Customs Authority's basic training or other education that the employer deems equivalent
- 3 years of working life experience that the employer deems relevant for the position
- Experience working with and analyzing large data sets
- Experience in development work
- Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
- Good communication skills
- Very good teamwork skills and experience working in teams
- Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience in analysis within the import flow, especially ICS2
- Experience working in intelligence
- Experience with advanced analysis tools such as Palantir, I2 products, Neo4j, Power BI, or similar
