As a security guard or security officer, you play a vital role in creating a safe environment for people and businesses. You work with preventive security measures, inspections, and customer service. We offer:

Work Location: Eskilstuna

Working Hours: We offer work during both day and night shifts. More information will be provided during the interview process.

Duration: Employment based on need, with a 6-month probationary period.

Start Date: According to agreement.

Salary: According to the collective agreement.

Qualifications: We are looking for security-conscious, social, empathetic, and positive individuals with inner confidence and a natural drive to help others. Security guards work in many different environments with highly varied tasks – we are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and has a clear service-oriented commitment. We also appreciate if you can communicate fluently in English.

In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe, you must meet the basic requirements to qualify for the position:

  • be of legal age before starting the assignment
  • high school diploma
  • good proficiency in Swedish (spoken and written)
  • Class B driver's license

You must also be crime-free*, drug-free, have a sound financial situation, as well as good health and physical condition to be employed by Avarn Security.

Security guard training is an advantage for these positions. Other advantageous qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and move forward in the process but do not already hold the prescribed training (VU1, VU2), we will cover your training costs! The security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA (The Security Industry’s Vocational and Working Environment Committee). Participation is a prerequisite for employment.

* To be employed by Avarn Security AB, you must be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company, in accordance with the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies. The application to the County Administrative Board is handled by Avarn Security. Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also become relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements of the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. This assessment covers compliance with the law, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, from open sources, or from authorities.
