As a security guard at Avarn Security, you will have an exciting daily routine where your task is to strengthen our customers' sense of security and promote a safer environment. A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various settings. The job involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring premises, patrolling areas, and ensuring that security procedures are followed. Security guards often work in close contact with people and must be able to act calmly and professionally in both everyday situations and during incidents. The work can range from responding to alarms and access control to reporting deviations and collaborating with the police or other authorities. The role places high demands on responsibility, integrity, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

Working hours: Variable, more information will be provided during the interview

Duration: Needs-based employment. A 6-month probation period applies.

This advertisement is for a fixed-site position in Katrineholm. As our customer grows, we need to add new skilled employees.

We work closely with our customer, who has high demands on our delivery and service execution, while this is also an exciting and challenging assignment. You will work together with the customer, visitors, and contractors in daily operations, where focus on service and physical security is the highest priority.

Some knowledge and interest in technology, as well as good Swedish and English skills in both speech and writing, are required as the customer is English-speaking.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high service and is responsible, self-initiating, and accustomed to taking initiative. You should enjoy working both individually and in a group. We appreciate structure, solution-oriented thinking, and flexibility. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Our requirements for this position:

You must be of legal age and have a clean criminal record* (according to FAP 573-2), be drug-free, and hold a high school diploma. Additionally, you need good Swedish and English skills in speech and writing. To work at Avarn, you must be in good health and physical condition, have a stable economy, and hold a valid B-class driver's license.

Meritorious skills:

  • Security guard training (VU1 + VU2), protective guard training, or other training from the security industry. Interest in technology and technical competence are also valued.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and proceed in the process but do not already possess the prescribed training (VU1, VU2), we will cover your training! The Security Guard Training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA (Bevakningsbranschens Yrkes- och Arbetsmiljönämnd). Participation in this is a prerequisite for employment.

* To be employed by Avarn Security AB, you must be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company, in accordance with the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies.
