Job Description

As a security guard, you have a genuine desire to build good relationships and respect everyone, regardless of background. You are employed by Securitas but work under the regulations of the Swedish Police Authority. Your primary task is to make people feel safe in their daily lives. You achieve this through presence in public places, hopefully providing a calming effect, but you are also expected to act if the situation requires it.

Securitas has varied assignments that leave a significant mark on other people's lives in one way or another, and here you have the opportunity to make a real difference!

You will be based in Eskilstuna and will work on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is a secure and stable person, able to maintain calm even when much is happening around you. You are humble, team-oriented, and service-minded in your interactions with the public, but you also understand the responsibility of your role and can remain objective when necessary. Great importance is placed on your personal suitability for the position.

• You have a security guard education and a valid security guard permit.
• Passing grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school.
• Category B driver's license.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you must have passing grades from the first year of upper secondary school in Swedish and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Security Companies Act (1974:191) (the application is submitted by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be required. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval under the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment covers law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and potential vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
