Welcome to Lung Medicine in Malmö, a learning and varied workplace!

Lung Medicine in Malmö consists of Ward 3 and the Malmö Outpatient Clinic. Together, we provide specialized care for patients with severe lung diseases. Here, you will encounter everyone from previously healthy individuals suffering from pneumothorax to very critically ill patients in the terminal stages of life.

Ward 3

Ward 3 is a care ward with integrated outpatient services, capable of caring for 22 inpatients and four day-care patients. We encounter diagnoses such as COPD, emphysema, lung cancer, pneumothorax, and interstitial lung diseases daily in our work. The outpatient service provided at Ward 3 is an intervention unit that performs a variety of bronchoscopy examinations, drain insertions, pleural taps, and fine-needle aspiration preparations.

Malmö Outpatient Clinic

Malmö Outpatient Clinic works to investigate and treat patients who have some form of serious lung disease. Our main specialist areas are COPD, interstitial lung disease (ILD), lung cancer (TXO), and long-term oxygen therapy. We also provide care for patients undergoing non-invasive ventilation treatment (NIV). This is a clinic that proudly maintains high patient accessibility for all care staff, nurses, and physiotherapists, and independently drives specialist care with a constant focus on improvement with the aim of creating a thriving operation regarding work environment, competence development, and patient safety.

Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, among other things, booking and following up on follow-up patients, handling cancellations, sending invitations, registering diagnosis and KVÅ codes, Pasis, some medical record writing using TIK speech recognition software, handling mail, and much more. Here, you have overall responsibility for continuity and accessibility, among other things.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a approved education in healthcare administration, 80p KY or 400p YH, or alternatively an equivalent approved medical secretary. You have good knowledge of medical terminology and good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
