Your daily life as a Security Case Officer

The Security Department is responsible for security protection at the Swedish Fortification Agency. The work includes security protection analysis, physical security, information security, personnel security, incident management, signal security, and security protection agreements. Approximately 80 employees work in the Security Department.

The group consists of security vetting case officers who work with the security vetting of suppliers and employees. Through qualified assessments, they ensure that only persons who are reliable from a security protection perspective participate in the agency's security-sensitive operations.

The role of Security Case Officer means that you have a central function in the group's daily work. You are responsible for coordinating and managing incoming cases and inquiries, as well as ensuring that administrative processes, materials, and documentation are handled with high quality.

You will support the group with administration and diary registration. A large part of the work involves registering data, handling materials, and some mail handling.

The tasks place high demands on accuracy, structure, and the ability to handle information with high quality.

You contribute to creating structure, quality, and progress in the group's work by coordinating processes, following up on cases, and ensuring that materials are handled correctly and in accordance with current regulations.

The role involves many contacts, and you collaborate continuously with other departments within the agency as well as with external actors, authorities, and organizations.

The location is Eskilstuna, and travel is part of the position.

The position requires presence at the workplace in Eskilstuna and does not offer the possibility of remote or home work.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have upper secondary education, an interest in security issues, and several years of experience in case handling within public operations.

In this role, it is important that you have experience in structured work with independent responsibility and the ability to take initiative and drive tasks forward.

You have experience in absorbing, understanding, and applying written information, laws, regulations, or governing documents.

The work requires good collaboration skills and experience working towards common goals together with different professional categories.

To succeed in the role, you need to have good administrative skills, good knowledge of administrative IT support systems, and express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

A Class B driver's license is a requirement.

 

It is meritorious if you have experience working with security issues in a security-related operation.

It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' or the Swedish Security Service's regulations regarding security protection.

Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as positions at the Swedish Fortification Agency are security classified. This means that security vetting and register checks will be conducted in accordance with provisions in the Security Protection Act.
