Do you want meaningful work that makes a difference in people's lives? Welcome to a municipality that is far from mediocre!

The Employment and Adult Education Administration is responsible for the municipality's employment measures, day activities, adult education, and issues related to higher education, such as university college programs and other post-secondary education. Our goal is to provide residents of Botkyrka with good conditions to enter studies, work, and employment. We are 330 employees working to enable more citizens to achieve self-sufficiency.

The Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an engaged employment coach for the unit "Prevent Young People" and projects. The mission is to strengthen young people's path to work or studies. The project Tracks to Creative Industries targets young people between 18 and 29 years old who are far from the labor market and offers courses in creative industries, such as film production, AI, cooking, and makeup.

Through guiding and motivating efforts, the project aims to help participants move closer to self-sufficiency, while simultaneously strengthening safety in the municipality. The goal is to achieve both individual and socio-economic benefits through collaboration between municipal administrations, authorities, and the business sector. In your role, you ensure that the mission meets its goals and purpose within given frameworks by mapping participants' needs and documenting efforts. You also carry out interventions and activities, both individually and in groups, with the aim of helping participants reach work or studies.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Create action plans with clear goals together with participants, and follow up and support implementation.
  • Provide support to both participants and employers.
  • Collaborate with workplaces, educational providers, social services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and other relevant actors.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external actors such as private companies and non-profit organizations.

This is a fixed-term full-time position lasting until May 2027.

What We Offer

Within the "Prevent Young People" unit and projects, we are currently working on various projects targeted and adapted to young adults, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and method development. We collaborate closely with social services, schools, employers, and other actors to create structured and individually adapted paths to work or studies for our target group. You will become part of a team where we jointly develop and improve our working methods – always with the participant's needs at the center.

Our workplace is located in Alby with good access to public transport. Here you have the opportunity to contribute to a concrete societal effort while developing professionally in an environment characterized by collaboration, responsibility, and continuous learning.
