About the role

Karolinska University Hospital is one of Europe's largest university hospitals with approximately 16,000 employees. The HR department consists of several different support functions, including business-oriented HR Business Partners, HR support, recruitment, and specialist functions.

As a business-oriented HR Business Partner at Karolinska University Hospital, you are an integrated part of the business and work in close collaboration with the managers and leadership teams you support. Together with managers within the care operation you are responsible for, you drive continuous improvement work in line with our vision: We shall cure and relieve tomorrow what no one can cure and relieve today.

You work close to the business as an HR Business Partner to managers, responsible for advisory services and support in both operational and strategic HR matters. The role also includes contributing to the development of HR processes and working methods.

You will belong to one of Karolinska's HR teams, where HR Business Partners are divided into three clusters. Within the cluster, you collaborate closely on common issues and projects, while there are also good opportunities for experience exchange and collaboration with HR Business Partners in the other clusters.

  • Have the ability to adapt your working methods through flexible problem-solving and clear, trust-building communication – even in challenging situations.
  • Have good analytical skills and can quickly immerse yourself in new issues and contexts.
  • Have a development-oriented approach and the ability to identify improvement opportunities and new perspectives to develop both yourself and HR's roles and working methods.
  • Have the desire and ability to initiate and drive development work within HR, both in close collaboration with specific operations and from an organization-wide perspective.

The role involves many contact surfaces, so to thrive, it is important that you enjoy collaborating, are service-oriented, and are happy to share your knowledge.

  • At least five years of experience as a business-oriented HR Business Partner.
  • Experience working with both operational and strategic HR matters.
