Linblomman School is a preschool to grade 6 school located four kilometers southwest of Umeå city center. A school that is just the right size to make new friends, and just small enough so that every student is seen! With us, digital tools are a natural part of the work. We are now looking for an anchor for our after-school center!

Employment Information

The position is a permanent, full-time employment starting 2026-08-10.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will teach our students in the after-school center as well as in Physical Education and Health. You will step into the role of team leader, working in close collaboration with the deputy principal to develop the after-school activities and their connection to regulatory documents. You will be responsible for the after-school center, which entails overall responsibility for organizing, leading, and developing the after-school activities in close cooperation with school management, staff, students, and guardians. The assignment involves creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that supports students' development and learning both during and after school hours. You will also participate in the school's leadership group.

About You

We are looking for someone who thrives in the role of an inspirer, has good structure, and the ability to lead colleagues.

We would prefer that you enjoy the role of a teaching teacher in Physical Education and Health, especially for younger age groups.

You are well-versed in the school's regulatory documents and have the ability to vary teaching and activities based on students' needs. You are a secure adult and a good role model who can connect with students, see each individual, and create a good learning environment. You motivate students by involving them and encouraging them to come up with their own suggestions. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills with colleagues and external parties. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Requirements

• Licensed teacher or applied for teacher licensure with eligibility to teach in the after-school center.
• Valid extract from the criminal record.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
