About the Role

Säffle Municipality has noted increased social anxiety and problematic school absenteeism. To address this, we have introduced the Backa barnet (Support the Child) model, focusing on early and coordinated interventions. Within this framework, the School Social Team works to identify and support children and young people at an early stage.

The School Social Team serves primary school students (preschool class to grade 9) and their families. The team consists of two social workers from social services and two from the school, who work exclusively within this team in close collaboration. We work closely with family therapists from social services to ensure the best possible support.

Your Responsibilities

At our team, families receive help to create better conditions for their children's schooling and increased school attendance. You provide parents with tools to support and guide their children. The work takes place both in the home and at school. When necessary, we collaborate with other actors within the region and the police.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a positive outlook who thrives in a fast-paced environment where many things happen simultaneously. You are skilled at building relationships and motivating others, while remaining clear and adapting your approach to the needs of students and parents.

You are organized, responsible, and confident in making your own decisions based on established routines. You collaborate easily and effectively, both internally and externally.

We are looking for:

• A degree in Social Work (Social Work) or another university degree that the employer deems equivalent.
• Ability to work in a dynamic organization.

Merits:

• Experience in treatment work with adults, children, and youth.
• Experience with rePULSE, MI (Motivational Interviewing), solution-focused approaches, ICDP, or other evidence-based methods.
• Experience with documentation work.
• Multilingualism is a plus. The position requires proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
