Värmland County Healthcare Consortium is a municipal consortium where Värmland's 16 municipalities are members. The consortium operates residential care homes (HVB) in several areas and is a key player in the overall development work regarding harmful use/addiction in the county. Addiction Centre Värmland is run jointly with Region Värmland for the target group of adults with harmful use/addiction in need of withdrawal care. Kvarnbacken is an integrated residential home for adults that we operate jointly with Region Värmland. Riddarnäset is an integrated facility where we, together with Region Värmland, operate residential care for young people aged 13-20. Flöjten is our emergency and assessment home with a target group of children aged 0-12. The consortium also arranges courses and conferences within the field of harmful use/addiction and, together with Region Värmland and the county's municipalities, has a mandate to jointly develop the work on harmful use/addiction in Värmland.

At Addiction Centre, you will have the opportunity to work in a unique facility where psychiatric care and social treatment meet. Here, you will become an important part of a dedicated team that works every day to create conditions for change, recovery, and hope for the future among people with addiction issues.

Addiction Centre is a residential care home (HVB) with integrated healthcare, located in the Psychiatry Building at the Central Hospital in Karlstad. The operation is run in close collaboration between Region Värmland and Värmland County Healthcare Consortium.

We offer withdrawal treatment and psychosocial interventions for adults with addiction issues, often in combination with mental illness or other comorbidities. With 12 care beds and a care period of up to three weeks, we work together across several professional categories to provide each client with a secure, respectful, and meaningful care period that becomes an important part of their ongoing journey of change.

Responsibilities

As a Treatment Consultant, you have a central and significant function in the client's care process. You become the hub of collaboration between the client, social services, care staff, and other partners. The role is also part of the facility's coordinating management form and structure in matters concerning planning, collaboration, and development.

You are often the first point of contact for the referring party and are responsible for creating structure, coordination, and continuity throughout the entire care period.

In the role, you will among other things:

  • Coordinate interventions regarding the client before, during, and after placement.
  • Be the client's contact person and support them through the care process.
  • Collaborate closely with social services and other partners.
  • Lead and coordinate team work regarding the client.
  • Draw up, follow up, and document implementation plans.
  • Ensure that the mandate from the referring party is carried out with high quality.
  • Summarize the care period and treatment interventions in final documentation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to contribute to creating positive changes for people in vulnerable life situations.

You are a social worker or have another relevant academic education and experience working with people living with harmful use or addiction issues.

We would appreciate if you have knowledge within addiction care, psychiatry, and comorbidity, as well as experience with methods such as MI (Motivational Interviewing) and ASI. If you have experience in coordinating roles within social services, residential care, or similar areas, we see this as a strength.

Merits:

  • Experience from residential care or social services within the addiction field.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary team work.
  • Knowledge of ASI, AUDIT, and DUDIT.
  • Experience with treatment programs.
  • Knowledge of Cosmic and Secura Nova.

Conditions

Working hours mainly daytime, Monday–Friday. Probation period may apply. Extract from the police's criminal record and suspicion register is required.
