Responsibilities

Källtorpskolan is looking for an engaged, solution-focused, and competent special needs teacher with a specialization in intellectual disability (ID) who is passionate about making a real difference for students in adapted primary education.

Here, you will work in a small, secure, and creative school environment where every student's strengths and needs are at the center. Teaching takes place in small groups and is characterized by individual adaptation, often using thematic and cross-curricular approaches. We use clarifying pedagogy and alternative learning tools to create structure, predictability, and a meaningful school day for each student.

You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to promote students' learning, communication, and independence.

• Teach within subject areas in adapted primary education
• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on students' individual needs
• Work with clarifying pedagogy and alternative learning tools
• Collaborate with colleagues, special needs teachers, and school leadership
• Supervise teaching assistants in their work regarding students' goals and learning processes
• Contribute to a secure, structured, and stimulating learning environment
• Actively participate in the school's development work and pedagogical forums

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are a certified special needs teacher with a specialization in intellectual disability and who have experience working in adapted primary education. Other special needs teacher educations may also be of interest.
