About our open position

At MAVA, we are building a sustainable working environment where both employees and patients come first. To strengthen our operations and increase patient safety, we are now increasing our staffing around the clock.

As a nurse at MAVA, you work night shifts with responsibility for a maximum of ten patients, even during periods of overcrowding. This creates a sustainable workload, a safe working environment, and high patient safety. Here, you will receive a secure introduction, supervision, further education, and competence development in a welcoming environment. You will have the opportunity to grow into your role as a nurse together with the team and have the opportunity for continuous learning. As a nurse on our department, you will work with varied tasks.

You are offered the opportunity to participate in specialized emergency care together with competent doctors, nursing staff, and pharmacists. We place great emphasis on further development both internally and through universities. You will be part of a fantastic work group where the sense of belonging is high.

The position is a permanent employment. Working hours are scheduled from 21:15 to 07:15, with duty approximately every third weekend.

About us

At MAVA, we currently have 28 care beds divided into four teams during the day and three teams at night. The care consists of handling patients with an expected short length of stay. We treat patients with varying medical needs, ranging from young people to multi-morbid elderly who have fallen ill acutely. MAVA is a good department to develop in, for both newly graduated and experienced nurses, and is a popular department among students. A senior nurse is on site during the day to support and develop our department.

MAVA has an Education Unit (UVE), which means that we have a close collaboration with Borås University and receive 12 nursing students per semester. The students are supervised two by two in so-called pair supervision during the day.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have a Swedish nursing license and have at least four months of experience in the profession. As a person, you are welcoming, driven, and work with care and respect towards both patients and colleagues. On our emergency department, it is important that you can work both independently and in a team. We value that you have a strong desire to learn and develop. We are keen to find the right person for the position, which is why great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
