Are you a nurse looking for a workplace that offers challenges, joy, and security within a highly competent team? Look no further. Welcome to us at Ward 47/48, the Nephrology, Wound, and Medicine Department at Skaraborg Hospital (Skas) in Skövde.

The nephrology department has space for 30 nephrological and internal medicine patients. The Wound Centre is dedicated to caring for patients who have or are at risk of developing wounds. We also serve as the department for patients requiring vascular surgical intervention due to impaired circulation. The internal medicine patients have varied medical causes.

Job Responsibilities

Here, you will have an stimulating and varied job. As a nurse, you will work independently and in close collaboration with our nursing assistants.

As a nurse here, you have good support from the rest of the work group, and the work is interdisciplinary, involving nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, podiatrists, dietitians, counselors, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. You are guaranteed to gain a breadth in your competence.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. As a person, we see that you are responsible, clear, and structured. You have a desire to constantly develop yourself and the operations. You have a professional attitude and the ability to motivate the patient to become the obvious co-participant in their treatment, which is what we strive for. For us, it is important to learn from each other and to make everyone involved in the work around the patient. We appreciate that people are different and give you the opportunity to develop your own areas of interest in your work. We see an advantage if you are familiar with the systems Melior, Elvis, and Samsa.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Other Information

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts during the first year of your employment with us. The Clinical Foundation Year includes introduction days, supervision and training days, as well as observation days. The purpose of the Clinical Foundation Year is to create good conditions for newly graduated nurses to strengthen their theoretical knowledge, practice skills, and grow into their new profession.

In the event of recruiting nurses with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish license/specialist certificate.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
