About Imaging and Functional Medicine at Skaraborg Hospital

In autumn 2023, our acute radiology operations moved to SkaS Skövde's new acute block, a new 40,000 square meter building. Here, we co-locate a state-of-the-art emergency radiology department equipped with the latest technology in computed tomography and conventional X-ray, as well as ultrasound, alongside the emergency department, ambulance intake, and helicopter landing site. This facility also includes a high-tech operating department with two hybrid suites equipped with interventional robots, pre- and post-operative wards, a sterile technology unit, and an intensive care unit. The result is a modern emergency hospital well-equipped to handle future increasing patient flows. With larger spaces, there is ample room for new medical and technical equipment, improving care and providing staff with a better work environment. As a radiographer here, you will work alternately at the new emergency radiology department and central radiology.

Imaging and Functional Medicine at Skaraborg Hospital consists of radiology, nuclear medicine, and the Intervention Center (IVC). Operations are conducted at the hospitals in Skövde and Lidköping. Approximately 150,000 examinations are performed annually.

Within Radiology SkaS, we work with advanced MRI, CT, ultrasound, and conventional radiological diagnostics, as well as advanced interventional diagnostics and treatment. In Skövde, operations run 24/7, while in Lidköping, they operate during days, evenings, and weekends.

Job Responsibilities

As a radiographer with us, you will work with varied and educational tasks across different modalities. We have a modern equipment park across these modalities and a broad examination portfolio ranging from conventional X-ray to more advanced examinations for both children and adults.

We provide both emergency and planned care, and we are staffed around the clock. We offer you interesting and developmental work in a workplace with dedicated employees, where clinical operations and development work go hand in hand.

Operations within Imaging and Functional Medicine are a crucial part of the care chain, meaning you will meet many different patients from various departments and flows across the entire hospital and Närhälsan.

Qualifications

To work with us, you must be a licensed radiographer. Current and relevant experience in acute radiology is considered an asset.
