About the job

We are looking for you who want a exciting and developmental job within functional support. As a support assistant with us, you will have a varied job that involves many contact areas. The goal is for the resident to be able to create their own home and live a life on their own terms based on their own conditions. The day should be understandable for the individual where structure, clarity, and security are cornerstones. For us, respect for people's self-determination and integrity is the foundation of our work.

Residential adults LSS 3 currently consists of two group homes and a service apartment. These operations are governed by the Act on Special Support and Service and are located within Lidköping Municipality. Our residents have disabilities to varying degrees, intellectual disabilities, and developmental psychological disabilities such as ADHD/Autism. As an employee with us, work can take place at more than one residence as we guarantee all employees full-time hours.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant with us, you provide care and social support based on the resident's individual needs and wishes. This can include, among other things, social and physical activities, both individually and in groups. In the work, you help residents with health and medical care interventions as well as rehabilitative interventions prescribed by a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist.

Contact personship is part of your work and means that you have a special responsibility for one or more individuals. You help create good relationships with colleagues, users, and relatives. Your work also includes continuous documentation and responsibility for drawing up, following up, and revising implementation plans.

Working hours are day, evening, weekends, and sleeping on-call. You will be scheduled across the other units.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who take responsibility for your tasks with the resident's best interest in focus and who are keen on completing the work you have started. As a person, you have the ability to take initiative and create trusting relationships based on care and empathy. You work independently and have good cooperation skills as you actively participate in teamwork.

You should find it easy to quickly adapt to different conditions and be able to meet the situations that may arise. Together with your colleagues, you develop the pedagogical work that is based on the users' implementation plans and activity descriptions.

Requirements:

• Approved grades from one of the following educations - Child and Leisure program with social work as a focus, Leisure leader education with focus and/or experience of work within functional support or Care and Care program
• Proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing as well as good reading comprehension
• Basic digital competence
• Category B driver's license for manual transmission

Other

In our operations, everyone who is to be employed to work within functional support must, according to law (2010:479), show an extract from the criminal record register to the hiring manager. The form to be used can be downloaded from the Police website (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/blanketter---barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/). It usually takes between 1-2 weeks to receive it by mail, and it must be shown before employment to the hiring manager.

You will work scheduled hours such as day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call.

The position is a permanent position at 100% with the possibility of desired degree of employment.

Your employment will be within the Sector Social Welfare Lidköping Municipality which means that you may be asked to work at other units.

We apply a probation period of 6 months.

Selection takes place continuously during the recruitment period.

Criminal Record Extract

Before offering employment, you as a candidate are obliged to show an extract from the criminal record register for work in any of the following areas; school or preschool, work with children in other operations than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes, work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be shown before employment can begin.
