Assistant Nurse for Home Care in Skövde

In home care, we provide services and personal care based on assessed support needs, in the user's home. Skövde Municipality is divided into several different geographical home care areas. The operations are part of the Health and Care Sector, Skövde Municipality.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want an exciting and developing job. As an assistant nurse in home care, you have the opportunity to contribute to the quality of life for our users. Our work is based on our keywords: security, responsibility, and respectful treatment, and you are a large and important part of the user's well-being. You work with care and professionalism with the users in their home environment, in collaboration with the rest of the work team. This also involves working for good cooperation with other professional groups and relatives.

As an assistant nurse, you are responsible for ensuring that our users, based on their individual needs, receive social support and care, accompaniment, health care, and activation. The work also includes service tasks, such as preparing simple meals, dishwashing, laundry, and cleaning. The assignment also includes performing delegated and prescribed medical care tasks, according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).

Documentation in our systems is also an important part of the work.

Within the Health and Care Sector, we work flexibly between the different units. This means that you will also work shifts in other home care areas than the one you normally work in.

Qualifications

To work as an assistant nurse with us, you need to have a passed upper secondary education from the Health and Care Program or equivalent. It is meritorious if you have had other similar work, preferably with a special focus on dementia, elderly care, or welfare technology, as well as previous experience with delegated tasks. Being able to receive delegated tasks from a nurse is a requirement.

It may become relevant to also hire a care assistant.

As a person, you need to be responsible and service-oriented, putting the individual's needs at the center. You are good at collaborating with colleagues, users, relatives, and other partners both within and outside your own organization. We believe that we build a better operation through collaboration and development together with others. You have an easy time building relationships and you have a respectful approach.

We want to contribute to a sustainable Skövde and care about the environment, which is why it is important that you can cycle, as we cycle to our users whenever possible.

In this role, it is important that you can communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish, as you and the user need to understand each other, but also to be able to perform documentation. You are computer literate and preferably also have experience with social documentation.
