Nurse for the Functional Support Team – City of Mölndal
In the City of Mölndal, we are proud to have Sweden's most important job, where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Join us in making a difference in people's daily lives every day!
The Health and Care Administration, with approximately 1,500 employees, is one of the administrations in the City of Mölndal. It covers elderly care, functional support, and health and medical care.
About the Team
The Functional Support Unit works with a team-based approach. You will be part of a team consisting of two nurses, one occupational therapist, and one physiotherapist. The team works towards the same residential facilities and day activities as you do. In total, there are three teams within functional support who also help each other across boundaries when needed.
1 position available.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a licensed nurse to join our team. We, who welcome you, are a positive and experienced team with a strong commitment to our mission and the people we serve. We offer you stimulating, developmental, and meaningful work where no two days are alike. Together, we contribute to the patient experiencing the greatest possible health and well-being according to the municipal health and medical care mandate.
We work with patients across all three LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) groups: residential care with special services (BMSS), day activities, and personal assistance. Geographically, we operate from the Health and Medical Care Unit's office on Flöjelbergsgatan, where other licensed municipal staff also base their work. We follow the intentions of the "Close Care" reform and strive for patient involvement in their own care.
You will serve as the Patient Responsible Nurse (PAS) for residential facilities within social psychiatry or BMSS, as well as for day activities. This means you have the main responsibility for the overall planning for the patients. You create individual care plans and conduct risk assessments together with the rest of the team and with each patient. It is your and the team's responsibility to ensure that nursing care is performed according to current legislation.
As a nurse, you collaborate closely with employees and managers within the various operations. You continuously work on mentoring, educating, and informing care staff. Therefore, it is important that you thrive in a role where you get to work with modern methods, participate in development, and contribute to increased knowledge. As a new employee, we offer you an individually tailored introduction so that you become as secure as possible in your role. We continuously work on competence-enhancing training initiatives focused on the target group within functional support. At our workplace, you work daytime hours, Monday to Friday.
Through humor and warmth, you create added value for both patients and colleagues. You see opportunities rather than obstacles and view collaboration as essential for good and close care.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with many years of professional experience. You need to have an interest in and experience within the functional support area.
As a nurse, you thrive in interactions with others. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role, have an open and positive attitude, and base your work on the patient's needs.
As a person, you are quick to analyze problems, see connections, and suggest possible solutions within the framework of your assignment. You use time efficiently and work systematically, organized, and methodically. You ensure that work is completed and follow up on results.
We also look for someone who is change-oriented, sees opportunities for change, and creates situations where new ideas and proposals can be developed. You drive long-term and sustainable change work.
You have good computer skills, a valid B-driver's license, and good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
