The operational area includes Anesthesia/Operation, ICU/Post-op, and the Sterile Technology Unit within SkaS, with hospital units located in Lidköping, Skövde, and Falköping.

All units work closely together, both between locations and throughout SkaS. We operate our area as a whole, which means that as an employee, you may sometimes be deployed to other locations within SkaS to ensure that patients receive the care and treatment we are expected to provide.

Our common goal is to put the patient first. We work process-oriented and continuously on operational development. Key qualities in our operations are good teamwork skills, the ability to work under varying conditions, and a desire for development.

Description

The Intensive Care Unit is a specialist department for critically ill patients requiring constant monitoring, advanced treatment, and nursing care. The department is equipped with advanced medical technology for care in various life-threatening conditions. We treat both children and adults from all hospital clinics. The unit also includes care beds for postoperative monitoring for both inpatients and day-case patients.

As a new employee, you will be offered a thorough introduction to help you feel secure in your new workplace. As a nursing assistant, you will work at the top of your competence and be offered an interesting role where you develop in your nursing assistant position and gradually take more responsibility for the advanced care of intensive care patients.

We are located in new, modern facilities designed to meet future needs for intensive care and postoperative care for our citizens!

Job Description

As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for the patient's general nursing care and participate in medical work under the direction of a doctor or nurse in the care team. The ICU/Post-op unit operates 24/7, meaning shifts are available during the day, evening, and night.

Qualifications

You must have a relevant nursing assistant education, preferably with a focus on emergency care or a specialist nursing assistant education in surgery, anesthesia, and intensive care. Experience from intensive care work is meritorious.

Your personal qualities are significant, and we are looking for someone who is positive and engaged. You must have good teamwork skills as we work in teams around the patient, as well as the ability to handle acute and high-pressure situations. We will place great emphasis on previous experience and personal suitability.
