Regional Laboratory Medicine belongs to Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Area 4, and has a clear coordination mandate for the entire Region of Västra Götaland. The organization consists of the laboratory medicine activities at Södra Älvsborg Hospital, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Hospitals in the West, and NU Hospital Group.

Are you a licensed biomedical scientist who wants to contribute to the important operations within clinical microbiology? We are looking for you who want to become part of the Molecular Microbiology unit and make a difference in diagnostics through careful and quality-conscious work. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with skilled colleagues and jointly take responsibility for the analysis operations in an exciting and varied environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a licensed biomedical scientist at Clinical Microbiology, Molecular Microbiology, your tasks will include:

• Performing diagnostic molecular biological analyses of microbiological samples with high precision and accuracy.
• Interpreting and reporting analysis results and ensuring they meet our quality standards.
• Contributing to the development and validation of new analyses and methods.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Participating in quality work and improvement projects to optimize the unit's operations.
• Collaborating with other professional groups within healthcare to provide the best possible care to patients.
• Supervising students during their practice-based education.

Qualifications

• Licensed biomedical scientist with experience in clinical microbiology and/or molecular biology.

• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well in a group.
