At the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology at the Sahlgrenska Academy, extensive research and teaching are conducted across broad knowledge areas – from molecule to human. The department consists of five sections: pharmacology, physiology, health and rehabilitation, clinical neuroscience, and psychiatry and neurochemistry.

The Department of Neuroscience and Physiology is now seeking a researcher to be placed at the Section of Pharmacology.

Responsibilities

The position involves animal experimental research within the field of psychopharmacology, with a focus on behavioral pharmacological studies.

Qualifications

A PhD in preclinical psychopharmacology with a focus on behavioral studies is required. Experience in research on drugs for depression and anxiety using relevant animal models is desirable. Experience with in vivo microdialysis is also desirable.

Employment

The employment is a fixed-term position for 6 months, 100% full-time, with placement at the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology on a permanent basis. Start date: ASAP or as agreed.
