The Gothenburg Person-Centered Care Center (GPCC) at the University of Gothenburg is a national interdisciplinary research center established in 2010 with support from the government's strategic investment in healthcare research. Approximately forty research projects are currently ongoing regarding person-centered care in various long-term conditions and healthcare organization. GPCC is looking for you who want to work as a research assistant alongside your own studies. A research assistant works as an assistant to researchers and assists with various tasks related to a current research project.

We are looking for four research assistants for a fixed-term assignment of six months, starting in December.

Responsibilities

You will function as a project assistant in one of the current research projects conducted within GPCC. This means you will be assigned tasks that the specific project can offer, such as data entry of research results, literature reviews, participation in various meetings, etc. You will be supervised by researchers during your employment. You will participate in the research project with the aim of sparking interest in further research after graduation, while also gaining a good insight into the university as a workplace. You may also be attached to the location where the research is conducted.

Qualifications

The minimum requirement is that you are admitted to undergraduate or advanced level studies at the University of Gothenburg for the entire duration of the employment. Ideally, you should complete term four, five, or six at the undergraduate level, or study at the advanced level, during the autumn term of 2026 and the spring term of 2027.

Linguistic requirements include proficiency in Swedish and English. Depending on the tasks of the different projects, good knowledge of one of the languages may be an advantage.

Previous academic courses and degrees, interest in research, experience of similar tasks, completed credits, and grades will be considered in the assessment.

The work as an assistant presupposes good organizational skills, communication skills, teamwork ability, flexibility, and attention to detail, as well as a high level of service. Good interpersonal skills are important as we at the center work from a person-centered approach.

Employment

The employment is fixed-term for six months with a workload of 20%, located at the Department of Nursing and Health. Start date: 2026-12-01 and end date: 2027-05-31. The employment is regulated by the Higher Education Ordinance Chapter 5.

Interviews will be held on the afternoon of October 22 and on October 23.
